Pochoir (after the gouache). Unsigned and not numbered, proof impression aside from a sought edition of 800 printed in Paris in 1928, published by E. Tériade for Editions Cahiers d'Art.
Vibrant colors, in good condition, one of the 800, printed in 1928 on Torpes vellum paper (vélin de Torpes). Pochoir size: 8 x 6 3/8 inches (20cm x 16 cm); the full sheet size : 27,5cm x 21,8 cm - Framed : 30 cm x 24 cm
Engraving hand coloured through stencils painted with pochoir in brilliant gouache colours. Good condition.

Descriptif

Fernand Léger, important french painter and mainly cubist, worked with the famous art review « Les Cahiers d’art » since the beginning of Les Cahiers d’art in 1926 until his death. He was the leading artist published by Les cahiers d’art. 
 
This magnificent pochoir on Torpes vellum, title « The shell », in good condition, with so vibrant colours, came from the Fernand Léger’s monograph published in 1928 in a edition of 800, by E Tériade for Les Cahiers d’art.  
 
Fernand Léger was one the main french artist from this artistic period. 
All Fernand Léger’s art is contained in this lovely printed work, using primary colours so magnetic and objects seen into a cubist composition point of view.
